Obama Built it, I Broke It, You Fix It

If you’re wondering why Trump despises Barack Obama so intensely, you need only go back to 2011 and the Washington Correspondents Dinner.

Trump was in attendance.

He also was a proponent of the “birther movement” attacking the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency. Even though Trump has officially acknowledged Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate, I seriously doubt he believes it to this day.

Obama was not kind and Trump looked visibly annoyed despite his claim that the dinner was “Fantastic.” Another lie?

Obama,

Donald Trump is here tonight. Now I know that he’s taken some flak lately. But no one is happier—no one is prouder—to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald. And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter: Like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”

If you haven’t figured it out by now, Trump is a very vindictive and relentless person. He didn’t take kindly to Obama’s ribbing.

Donald Trump will do anything to destroy Barrack Obama’s legacy. Even maybe, according to Jimmy Kimmel, he would…

“sign copies of the Quran at the Barnes and Noble in Fallujah if it meant he could get rid of Obamacare.”

A recent and very insightful opinion piece was written by Thomas L. Friedman and was published in The New York Times.

Titled The Trump Doctrine, it’s main premise:

“Obama built it. I broke it. You fix it.

The piece goes on to say,

“…the possibility that unraveling all of these big systems at once — health, energy, geopolitics — without a clear plan or a capable team will set in motion chain reactions, some of them long term, that Trump has not thought through in the least. Moreover, when you break big systems, which, albeit imperfectly, have stabilized regions, environments or industries for decades, it can be very difficult to restore them.”

This piece raises some important questions. It’s a good read.
